Day 1 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt
After breakfast in your riad, you will leave Fes travelling towards Ifran, a beautiful mountains village, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” and then on to Midelt. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou, a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco, where you may well sight Barbary apes. After sometime within the forest, your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas. In Midelt you will be accommodated in a luxurious hotel.

4 Days Fes to Merzouga desert trip

Day 2 : Midelt – Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
After breakfast in your hotel you will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. You will be traveling through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia, here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Afterward, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrive at Merzouga on the afternoon. You’ll be welcomed with a glass of Moroccan tea before you check in to your riad. Overnight at Riad / hotel.

4 Days Fes to Merzouga desert trip

Day 3: Merzouga – Sunset Camel trekking – Night in a Berber tent with Dinner included
After breakfast in your riad, you will start an explorative journey of the area before you camel trek and spend the night at the desert camp. Today, you’ll visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle. Not far away there’s the lake of Merzouga, with its bird populations. You may also visit the nomad wirehouse where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities. On the afternoon you will mount your camel, guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the golden sand sea of Merzouga. Dinner in front of the tent where you will spend the night. (the camp is equipped with flush-toilets).

Day 4 : Merzouga – Erfoud – Errachidia – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes
Early morning departure to enjoy Sunrise on Sahara Desert , camel ride back to the hotel where the 4×4 are parked. Breakfast and departure to Errachidia via Erfoud and the Ziz valley. continuation to Midelt to have lunch in the place. after lunch, you will drive to Fes via cedar woods at Azrou and the mountain of the middle Atlas.
